How music creates a positive mindset
Music has always been a very important aspect in my life, from growing up with bands like Queen that my parents liked to adapting my own taste to artists like Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar.
I am constantly listening to music when I can. I start my day with my favourite playlist to make sure I am up and in a good mood before heading to work. I think that starting your day with your favourite songs is important because it can put you into a comfortable zone. For example, getting the train to work on a cold morning in Manchester can sometimes be a little unpleasant, especially if it is raining, from the cool air to the busy trains and stations, however, when I put on a playlist I am able to forget about these things and block them out in some way which makes me feel like I am in my own world, away from the crowds of people around me and all of the noise.
People say that listening to music can be distracting and can affect your concentration, but for me it really helps me to focus, as I’m sure plenty of other people will agree with. I find that having music on when I am working from home, or just working on something outside of work, can really boost my confidence. This boost in confidence can change the way I work on things such as writing and developing my skills in content creation for use on social media.
Music is important to me and the way I live day to day, and I think other people will say they feel that way too.
