The Tech Threat

In the time of 2024, it is so normal to us all to have tech at our fingertips. Everywhere we look there is some sort of tech from phones, digital billboards, tv’s and much more. But what would we do if it all went wrong. It is very unlikely but there is still a possibility of technology coming crashing down because nothing is impossible.

How would you cope, is there many things you do that don’t involve tech. Do you think you could go a whole day without tech because I certainly couldn’t. My life revolves around it from checking maps of where I am going, to calling or messaging someone and even if I want to do something that doesn’t involve tech, I used my phone to look up what to do.

Is this something I should even be thinking about because what is the likeliness of something going wrong? I am sat here writing this on, you guess it on my laptop where I’m hoping for the spell correct to spot my mistakes. It is just so normal to most people, because now most of us have grew up with some sort of phones (some more developed than others).

I am asking myself what I would do if something happened, I couldn’t google it or chat GPT it. Relying on technology daily is a risk which you don’t even know, we trust it with our bank details, our photos, our habits, and data we don’t even know about. The more you think about it, the more you realise how much you use tech. Eventually, it may cause the loss of creativity because why would someone do it when AI can. It may cause you an addiction that you don’t even know you have, online gambling, excessive time on apps, gaming, TikTok, the list goes on.

It sways our opinion on everything from what clothes to buy, who to vote for, the news. It tracks our every movement, even when you select don’t track location. It suggests the thing you have been looking at over and over until you buy it. The substantial number of things that tech is involved in is massive.

It puts a tint on life that you didn’t realise was there, many people won’t ever realise that a tint it is there.

There will be many justifications for the excess time people spend using tech, but if you could do the same thing without it, would you?
